Fjord to Fjord – Hiking Tour

This magnificent hiking tour explores two of the most pristine fjords in the north of Iceland, just below the Arctic Circle. After a scenic ride from Akureyri along the coastline of Eyjafjörður, we leave the asphalt for a bumpy mountain road with plenty of little streams to ford. Deep inside a remote and abandoned fjord our journey continues on foot. We hike from one fjord to another over a saddle in the mountains. This area is a paradise for traveling birds that stay here over the summer. With unforgettable vistas over the mountains and the sea we picnic, before walking back along the coastline to the other fjord.
